Working People and Working Timer connection

Working People controls company setup and workforce rules. Working Timer is where employees track daily time. A clean connection ensures your approval workflows and reports stay consistent from day one.

Step by step (admin)

  1. Verify that the employee has a Working Timer account with the same email as in Working People.
  2. Open the employee detail and run Connect with Working Timer.
  3. Confirm the invitation status in employee detail after sending.
  4. Ask the employee to log in and create one test record so you can validate data flow.

Step by step (employee)

  1. Open the invite email sent from Working People.
  2. Sign in to Working Timer with the invited account, not a personal alternative account.
  3. Check visible projects, activities, and expected profile context.
  4. Create and save a test day with project/activity assignment.

What to watch closely

  1. Email mismatch between systems is the most common issue.
  2. After role/profile changes in Working People, always re-check behavior in Working Timer.
  3. When new activities or projects are introduced, validate with one pilot user first.

Disconnect and reconnect flow

  1. Document why reconnect is needed (wrong account, email change, profile migration).
  2. Disconnect from employee detail as admin.
  3. Update email/profile data in Working People.
  4. Reconnect and repeat a first-day validation test.
